Who are Chiropractors?

Chiropractors are healthcare professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly those related to the spine. They use non-surgical, drug-free approaches to address issues related to the bones, joints, muscles, and nerves.

Chiropractors employ a range of techniques to help alleviate pain and improve function, such as manual adjustments of the spine and other joints, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue therapy, and other modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy. They often work in conjunction with other healthcare providers, such as physical therapists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Chiropractors undergo extensive training in their field, including completion of a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college, which involves several years of study in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and other related subjects. They must also pass a licensing exam to practice in their state or province.
