I completed my education at the Universities of St. Andrews and Manchester in the U.K., followed by earning postgraduate diplomas in gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London and in sexual health from Liverpool University. I hold a certification in General Practice and have also obtained a certificate in Clinical Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University in Bangkok.
I have a broad range of medical experience, having worked for 5 years in North Africa and the Middle East as a General Practitioner and Company Medical Advisor for oil companies. Since 1991, I have been living and working in Asia. In 1992, as a volunteer physician for the United Nations, I helped set up the UN Dispensary in Phnom Penh.
