I am one of the highly qualified and expert Interventional Radiologists—both in vascular and non-vascular procedures—with invaluable experience spanning over 15 years. Training and Experience

• I’ve been practicing vascular and interventional radiology since 1999, with prior training in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Over the years, I’ve focused on delivering minimally invasive, advanced treatments that make a real impact.
• My career has taken me across the UK, Canada, and Singapore, and I’m passionate about driving innovation in interventional radiology.

Education and Fellowships

• After completing my core medical and residency training, I pursued advanced specialist registrar training in the UK and earned my CCST from the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool.
• I had the privilege of doing a fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada, where I honed my skills in vascular and interventional radiology.

Professional Roles

• From 2005 to 2011, I worked as a Consultant at City Hospital in Birmingham, where I played a key role in establishing their advanced interventional services.
• In 2011, I moved to Singapore’s Khoo Teck Puat Hospital to introduce new pinhole surgical procedures and train local doctors.
• I set up a dedicated IR clinic, managed patients both in the wards and through emergency on-calls, and advocated a collaborative approach to care.
• I was also one of the first in Singapore to earn the European Board Interventional Radiology qualification in 2011.

Specializations

• I specialize in treating complex vascular conditions, including venous and arterial interventions, EVAR, carotid stenting, and prostate and uterine artery embolization.
• I’m experienced in trauma stenting and embolization, dialysis access management, IVC filter placements and removals, and revascularization procedures.
• In non-vascular fields, I’ve performed tumor ablations, nephrostomies, biopsies, spinal procedures like kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty, and much more.

Recent Focus

• More recently, I’ve focused on developing a unique super-specialty—Pain Relief in Interventional Radiology—which I find incredibly rewarding.
• My aim has always been to provide cutting-edge care with empathy, ensuring the best outcomes for my patients.

Teaching and Research

• I’ve had the opportunity to teach and perform procedures across multiple countries, sharing knowledge and learning along the way.
• I also stay engaged with research and publications, having written a book, Interventional Radiology in Palliative Care, in 2021, and serving as Deputy Editor of Clinical Radiology, a journal of the Royal College of Radiologists, London.

Personal Interests

When I’m not in the hospital, I indulge in deep-sea scuba diving, skiing (despite two fractures!), writing, reading, and exploring new opportunities in online healthcare and medico-legal work.
