I am the only physician in Newport Beach, and one of approximately 400 physicians nationwide, who is double board certified in pain medicine and neurology. My journey began at Johns Hopkins University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health. I went on to complete my medical degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, graduating with distinction in biomedical research. After completing my medicine internship at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where I was named intern of the year, I pursued my neurology residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I then completed an additional year to finish my pain medicine fellowship at UCSD, which is considered the top fellowship program in the country by the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
Currently, I run my own practice, Shawn Zardouz M.D. Inc., where I specialize in providing personalized and effective pain management solutions. My extensive background in both neurology and pain medicine allows me to offer a comprehensive approach to treating my patients, and I am committed to improving the quality of life for those dealing with chronic pain.
