I am Dr. Saqib Latif, a highly qualified and expert Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 14 years of invaluable experience. I reside in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and can fluently communicate in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Arabic. I am committed to providing compassionate and accessible care through video and audio online consultations to support children, adolescents, and families.
Currently, I serve as the Clinical Lead for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Maudsley Health Abu Dhabi. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych), with advanced training completed at Guy’s, King’s College, and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, as well as South London and Maudsley Hospital. Over my career, I have held leadership roles in both community and hospital settings in the UK and UAE.
During my 14 years with the NHS, I led specialist services for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Kent. More recently, I developed children’s services at the American Center for Psychiatry & Neurology (ACPN) in the UAE and serve as an Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at Khalifa University.
I specialize in treating Autism (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, behavioral disorders, and psychotic conditions. My focus is on evidence-based, patient-centered care that is accessible and free of stigma.
I have also published research on ethical considerations in diagnosing mental disorders and on self-harm. I am particularly interested in leveraging modern technology for early detection and delivering accessible, stigma-free mental health care solutions tailored to children and adolescents' unique needs.
