My journey began with a Medical Doctor degree from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (UNA), where I graduated with honors and served as student council president in 1994. I then completed my residency in internal medicine and rheumatology at Emory University, gaining expertise in the management of complex rheumatic diseases.
Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles in the healthcare sector, including serving as Minister of Health of Paraguay, where I contributed to public health policies and large-scale medical programs. I am also deeply interested in global health initiatives and medical education, collaborating on projects aimed at improving access to and quality of rheumatologic care.
