Medical Treatment:
- No need to treat it, if no symptoms
- Treatment for any symptoms, leg ulcers, swollen legs, or cosmetic reasons
- Try first, compression stockings, exercise, and elevation of the legs on resting
- Endovenous ablation is effective. Either with radiofrequency or laser
- Otherwise, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy is effective
- Last option, would surgery which includes ligation and stripping
