How to Treat Hypochondria?

Medical Treatment:
  • Challenge your thoughts (write your health worries and balanced thoughts)
  • Try to relax
  • Keep a diary (note how often you check your body, ask people for reassurance, or look at health information)
  • Get back to normal activities
  • Keep busy with other things (going for a walk or calling a friend to distract yourself)
  • If the above things are not working, see your doctor. They may refer you for psychological therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or offered medicine for anxiety
